Prabhas fans have something to look forward to this birthday. Mythri Movie Makers has confirmed that interesting content from Fauzi will be released on the occasion of Prabhas’s birthday on October 23. But the production house has also made it clear that it will not be the teaser.
What Mythri Said
“It’s not teaser but we’re planning to release some interesting content from #Fauzi for this year’s #Prabhas Birthday.”
The makers have not revealed what the content will be. It could be a special poster, a glimpse, a making video or a character introduction. But the confirmation alone has brought relief to fans, who have been waiting for a proper update from the film for months.
Fans Have Been Waiting for Months
Fauzi is one of the most awaited films in Prabhas’s lineup, but updates have been rare. Fans had even trended the hashtag #GiveUsFauziUpdateASAP in June, demanding clarity on the release date, teaser and promotions.
In July, the makers announced December 3, 2026 as the release date along with a new poster of Prabhas in an intense soldier look. But last month, the film was officially postponed. Mythri producer Y Ravi Shankar confirmed the news at The Paradise pre-release event. “We are sorry that the film will be pushed to a later date but Fauzi will be the greatest film for Prabhas garu, after Baahubali,” he said.
With no new release date yet, the birthday content will be the first major update since the postponement.
Why the Teaser Is Being Held Back
Holding back the teaser makes sense. With the release date moved, the makers will likely save the teaser for closer to the new release, when it can build maximum buzz. For now, the birthday content is meant to keep fans engaged and the excitement alive.
About Fauzi
Fauzi is a period action drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the filmmaker behind the much-loved Sita Ramam. Set in the 1940s, the film features Prabhas as a soldier in a story linked to a hidden chapter of history. Imanvi makes her debut as the female lead, with Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty in key roles. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
For Prabhas, Fauzi is an important film. His last release, The RajaSaab, did not work at the box office during Sankranti this year. With Mythri calling Fauzi his greatest film after Baahubali, the expectations are now very high, and the birthday content will be the first real test of what Hanu Raghavapudi has in store.
